Monograph #1 -- American Aid for German War Prisoners
Hello, I'm the /base/mo_mono1/index.md
by Harold Krische
Introduction
This is the first monograph in a series produced by members of the Military Postal History Society, published in April 2023.
Content
The author’s examination of Canadian World War II (WWII) Prisoner of War (POW) mail (including merchant seamen, refugees, enemy aliens and soldiers) revealed a noteworthy level of correspondence going to 16 Duerstein Street in Buffalo, New York. Recognition of this ’trend’ is notable over many significant collections including, but not limited to, those of the author, Sharpe, Ellison, Luciuk and Powell.
