{"id":974,"date":"2024-07-21T20:12:07","date_gmt":"2024-07-21T20:12:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/militaryphs.org\/blog\/?page_id=974"},"modified":"2024-07-21T20:34:13","modified_gmt":"2024-07-21T20:34:13","slug":"mphs-awards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/militaryphs.org\/blog\/home\/mphs-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"MPHS Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/militaryphs.org\/images\/bulletin\/kent_award_web.jpg\" alt=\"david kent\" width=\"250\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Society can grant four possible awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/militaryphs.org\/awards\/grandawards.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Theo Van Dam Military Postal History Society Grand Award<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This award is presented, since 1992, to the best military exhibit entered in the show, by a member of the society, during the MPHS Annual Meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/militaryphs.org\/awards\/srvc_award.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Military Postal History Society Meritorious Service Award<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 1992, this is presented to a MPHS member in recognition of oustanding service to the society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/militaryphs.org\/awards\/bulletin_award.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Military Postal History Society Bulletin Award<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This award, established in 1999, is presented to the author of the best article that appeared in the preceding calendar year&#8217;s issue of the Military Postal History Society Bulletin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/militaryphs.org\/awards\/exhibit_award.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Military Postal History Society Exhibit Award<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Established in 2008, this award is presented at WSP (\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/stamps.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">World Series of Philately APS shows<\/a>) to the best military exhibit where there are three or more military exhibits on display.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Society can grant four possible awards.
