The American Air Mail Society invited us to share a booth with them, number 721, and it was “The Place To Be” during the show. In the first row to the left on entering the show, our booth was between the American Topical Society, and the Civil War Society, and just one booth down from the Spellman Museum. That location ensured a steady flow of both members, and visitors throughout the week.

As you would expect there were many, many discussions about the importance that Postal History plays in the overall philatelic hobby. While many discussions were with the welcome stream of visitors, there was a great deal of exchange of views and experience with fellow workers in our joint booth with AAMS, and the booths in the row with us. Among the great ideas floated were “ad swapping” with both the American Air Mail Society, and the Civil War Society. We had 15 volunteers supporting the MPHS Booth. Ken Sanford and David Ball of the AAMS supported both our set-up and running of our joint booth.
