Overview and Introduction

This Society was formed in 1937 by several people with experience in WW I, and interest in war-related philatelic material.

Soon enough, we were losing the founders to advanced age.

The back issues of the Bulletin are a rich source for information about passed members, and their accomplishments.

We Owe a Debt of Gratitude

Those of us who enjoy membership in the Society can do so, only with the sometimes massive work of the people who came before.

First written by Isaac Newton, it always bears repeating:

“If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants.”

Entries of Interest

The following links are to memorials for members who had a major impact on our Society.

This list exists for the education of our current members, and is not intended to belittle the works of others. Frankly, every loss to the Society is a major loss.
