French Oceania/Polynesia switches to Free French on September 2, 1940. The cover cancelled on 8/14/40 three weeks before the switch to Free French. These Third Republic issues cancelled with a tourist slogan: “Visit Tahiti and Live.” Censor marking of the Vichy regime reads “Establishments French of Oceania.”
