There is a TABLE OF CONTENTS at the end of this page.
This index contains the articles of the following publications with their approximate dates of use.
Postal Markings 1937-1941 (Article column called War Cover Club)
War Cover Philatelist 1938-1943
The Cover Collector 1941-1942 (Article column called War Cover Club Bulletin)
The Stamp Review 1942 (Article column called War Cover Club)
War Cover Club 1941-June 1991
Military Postal History Society July 1991 - present
Because of the overlapping dates the locations of the Articles are listed in the following ways:
Postal Markings: PM with month and year
The Cover Collector: CC with month and year
The Stamp Review: SP with month and year
War Cover Philatelist: WP with month and year
War Cover Club & Military Postal History Society: Month and Year or Season and Year.
Various editors used month and year while others used season and year while some used both which makes some issues difficult to list and find.
There are a few articles listed in previous indexes that were not found in the issues listed. These articles are listed but have a question mark in the issue number.
Articles are listed by country with the US first. Countries with large number of articles are broken down into groups by various times; Pre WWI, WWI, WWII, and Other. In the US listings, WWI and WWII are broken down by Army, Navy, Marines, etc. Where an article is about more than one military branch, it is listed in the appropriate “OTHER” list.
For specific country headings, please use the TABLE OF CONTENTS at the end of this page.Additionally, there are lists for Censorship and POW related articles which were taken from all country lists. These are also broken down in WWI, WWII and Other. There is also a listing of book reviews taken from issues 1984 to present.
Any corrections or additions are welcome.
It is suggested that the Index be downloaded and the “find” command used to find articles.
