Background

Over the years, the Military Postal History Society has created awards to encourage its members to engage in exhibiting and writing, as well as to honor members who have greatly benefitted the Society at large.

Awards

The Society can grant four possible awards.

The Theo Van Dam Military Postal History Society Grand Award

This award is presented, since 1992, to the best military exhibit entered in the show, by a member of the society, during the MPHS Annual Meeting.

The Military Postal History Society Meritorious Service Award

Since 1992, This award is presented to a MPHS member in recognition of oustanding service to the society.

The Military Postal History Society Bulletin Award

This award, established in 1999, is presented to the author of the best article that appeared in the preceding calendar year’s issue of the Military Postal History Society Bulletin (now Journal).

The Military Postal History Society Exhibit Award

Established in 2008, This award is presented at WSP (World Series of Philately APS shows) to the best military exhibit where there are three or more military exhibits on display.
