The description of this seminar follows:

The Military Postal History Society is pleased to present another Zoom presentation by long time member Robert (Bob) Toombs on Ferry Command Dorval WWII.  Bob will present on little know aspects of airmail delivery systems, including trans-oceanic, associated with the “Ferry Command”.  In 1940, American WWI RAF pilot Clayton Knight recruited 44 bush pilots for the start-up of the RAF Ferry Command Dorval.  A joint committee comprised of 3 Americans and 3 Brits coordinated task-sharing of aircrew, meteorology, air traffic control, mails and more. Bob brings useful understandings to some very unique airmail rates that were associated with Ferry Command mail delivery.
