Mail Robbery In Military Conflicts 1745-1945
Wednesday, April 15th at 5:30 pm EDT (NOW PAST)
Presented by Steve Berlin
Virtually via Zoom
You are invited to attend a virtual program with Steve Berlin scheduled for Wednesday, April 15th, at 5:30 pm US EDT. (NOW PAST)
Mail Robbery postal history is very scarce. Most of these covers have been destroyed either by robbers or in acts of war. Mail robbery is usually performed for the theft of valuables and/or during the act of war for intelligence information. Mail robberies during the 18th and 19th centuries were often punished by death. Perhaps that is why so few robberies were recorded during these times.
To attend, please select the link below, which will bring you to Zoom, where the process will be completed.
If you cannot attend, the talk will be archived on the Club’s website for later viewing.
Please mark the day and time in your calendars.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, the 15th.
